Corrections
Errors of fact are corrected on the page where they appeared and recorded here, rather than changed without notice.
The policy
When a factual error is identified in published material, the passage is corrected and an entry is added to the log below giving the date, the page and what changed. Substantive corrections are also noted at the foot of the article concerned.
Changes to spelling, punctuation, broken links and formatting are made without a log entry, since they do not alter what an article states. A change in how a finding is characterised is treated as substantive and is logged.
Where a summary has described research accurately but the underlying research has since been revised, retracted or contradicted by later work, a note is added to the article rather than the original text being quietly rewritten.
Reporting an error
Errors may be reported at any time to support@newcontingent.online. A message giving the page address and the passage in question is sufficient. Reports are checked against the cited source before any change is made.
Log
